Gina Marcin, CNM, LAc, RH (AHG)

Gina Marcin is a lifelong resident of Chicago with a diverse background in health and wellness. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University in 1996, followed by certifications as a Medicinal Herbalist and Acupuncture Therapist from The Chicago College of Healing Arts in 2003. In 2013, she completed her Master’s in Nursing with a focus on Midwifery from the University of Illinois. Gina is a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse in Illinois and is board certified by both the American Midwifery Certification Board and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She has been an Illinois licensed acupuncturist since 2004 and has studied both Western botanical medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine since 1998. A professional member of the American Herbalists’ Guild since 2006, her specialties include women’s health, pregnancy, childbirth, and pain management. 

Gina has experience as a certified nurse-midwife in both out-of-hospital and hospital settings and has delivered numerous educational lectures on midwifery, acupuncture, and herbal medicine over the last 16 years. Passionate about holistic health, she continually seeks further education in complementary medical modalities. 

Outside of her professional life, Gina enjoys spending time with her cats, biking, gardening, and camping with her husband. She also serves as a volunteer board member for Herbal Education, Inc., a nonprofit organization that hosts an annual family-centered herbal education event. Before transitioning to health professions, she spent over 12 years in the accounting field, which supports her management of her private acupuncture practice and her husband’s home inspection/handyman business.
